The Horns are Home

University Housing and Dining’s “The Horns are Home” campaign launched in 2021 as a proper welcome back to all the student residents and staff returning to campus post-COVID. The campaign was meant to generate excitement and solidarity during a potentially tense return to campus. We produced and distributed over nine thousand shirts to our residents and staff.

My goal was to design something memorable and meaningful that would appeal to first year university students. I used burnt orange as a secondary color here, while the typography and iconic horns did most of the heavy lifting to help make this campaign a success.

We ran a full page spread in The Daily Texan (which claims a daily circulation of roughly 12,000 in fall and spring terms) to highlight the benefits of students returning to campus.
